A – Being born in 1995
B – Being born in 2055

To mark the 30th anniversary of Halle für Kunst Lüneburg, the artist FLORENCE JUNG considered what it means to turn thirty. She approached the Kunstverein as if it were a living organism undergoing a process of aging. Based on this, she developed three scenarios that engage different temporalities and modes of visibility.

For Jung, the thirties are a time of decision-making and turning points. This is reflected in the scenario Jung100, which unfolded over the course of the past year. On the 15th of each month, a new poster was installed in the courtyard to Halle für Kunst Lüneburg, which posed a dilemma: A or B? In this way, the artist confronted residents, visitors, and workers with questions as provocative as paradoxical.

To conclude the year-long project, Jung100 will be presented for the first time in its entirety. During a one-day pop-up exhibition, the twelve posters from the courtyard to Halle für Kunst Lüneburg will be complemented by two more editions of dilemmas in English and French. With these, the artist raises new questions, but also points to the many possibilities that lie between A and B.
